Albert Wingate

Interim Minister

Albert Wingate was co-senior minister of Unity of Naples in Naples, Florida from July 2001 until October 2005 at which time he retired from full time pulpit ministry. He served as senior minister of Atlanta Unity Church from December of 1990 to June of 1999. Before coming to Atlanta Unity, Albert was assistant vice-president for Development at Unity School of Christianity. He served in that position from January of 1987 until October of 1990, creating Unity School’s Development Office during his tenure. Albert has spoken to Unity groups throughout the entire planet, including Australia, the Virgin Islands, England and many Unity groups in the US.

Albert has received mediation training from the Lombard Institute. Lombard is the model on which the Peace Making process for the Unity Worldwide Ministries is built. In addition to two mediation trainings, Albert has participated in three nine-day intensives with Lombard, called the “Clergy Workshop in the Family Emotional Process” and the “Advanced Clergy Workshop in the Family Emotional Process.” These trainings offer a great deal of assistance in working with emotional issues in congregations as well as family structures. In June of 2009 Albert completed “Creating Peace in Our Lifetime” a five day workshop through the Peacemaking Skills Institute of Unity Worldwide Ministries. In May of 2011, Albert received his certification as a Peace Worker in Unity.

Since his "retirement", he has served as transitional minister in Savannah, GA, Arlington, TX, Tyler, TX and Unity Village Chapel.
